Part 2
Other strategies you can Use to Increase your Chances of Winning
The following techniques can be used on their own but most work best when you combine them with the deposit bonus technique you read about in Part . Try to use as many of the techniques as you can because the accumulative improvement in your odds of winning by combining these techniques can be huge.
Technique 2: Play more cards
This technique is so overlooked by the vast majority of Bingo players, but it is such an effective strategy if used properly. Many Bingo players know that they will have a greater chance of winning by playing more cards, but most do not know how to do this effectively. Many will try it but most players just end up burning through a lot of money before giving up and never trying it again. The key to making this technique work is to combine it with the deposit bonus technique you learned in Part 1. This lets you play double the number of cards per game while effectively paying only half price.
Example:
Fact: The more cards you play in a game, the more chances you have of winning i.e. if you play 10 cards instead of your usual 5 cards you have twice the chance of winning. If you play 20 cards instead of your usual 5 cards, you have four times the chance of winning.
It is estimated that the average number of cards played in a typical Bingo game per player is 4-6 cards. Some players will play with more, some less, but it usually evens out to approximately 4-6 cards per player. So, in a game of 10 players, if you play the average 5 cards per game, statistics show that you should win approximately once every 11 games. However, if you double the number of cards to 10, then you could expect to win approximately once in every 5 and a half games.

Of course, if there are more players per game, then your odds will be lower i.e. if there are 20 players, then playing 10 cards should return a win every 10.5 games compared to buying 5 cards and winning an average of once per 21 games.
The maths still works though - however many players you are up against, will always have double the odds of winning as the average player, when you play double the number of cards.
In a normal situation though, if you were to play double the number of cards, you would also be paying double the amount of money. This pretty much cancels out the benefit of playing double the cards and you'll end up burning through your balance in no time. This is the biggest mistake most Bingo players make when trying to use this strategy. Whenever you use this technique, always use it in combination with the deposit bonus strategy in Part 1.
Let's go through a typical scenario of how you should combine these two techniques for maximum effect. Let's say that you have just joined a new Bingo website. You've spent £40 and the Bingo site has matched your deposit and given you another £40 for free so you have a total of £80 to play with. Make sure that your deposit and bonus is showing up in your account then join a Bingo game.
Now its time to buy your cards. Go for between 8 and 12 cards to ensure that you are playing twice the number of cards as the average players 4 - 6 cards. 10 cards per game is usually a good number to start with, but you can increase this to 12 cards if the Bingo site has some sort of offer on cards e.g. buy 2 cards get an extra card free. Before the game begins, make sure your Auto Daub is set to “ON” don't try to mark off your numbers yourself, it is virtually impossible to keep track of things when you are playing this many cards.
When the game starts, you can now just sit back and watch the game unfold, knowing that you have double the chance of winning as the average player. When the game finishes (whether you win or lose) just go ahead and buy exactly the same amount of cards for the next game and so on. As you play through a few games, you should begin to notice that you win more regularly than you usually would and also more often than the majority of other players. The most important thing is to remember that you only spent £40 in the first place - the other £40 is free money, don't think of it as yours. The reason I for this is that it's so easy to forget and begin playing to conserve your balance, which will tempt you to play fewer cards.
Please don't fall into this trap. Make sure that you give this technique a fair chance to work for you. Every time you purchase 10 cards, say to yourself “I'm only paying for 5 cards “ the other 5 are free. Or if your cards cost you £2.50 then say to yourself “that only cost £1.25”. It's more fun playing Bingo when you know that you have twice the chance of winning as you usually would and twice the chance of winning as the other players. If you use this technique every time you play, it shouldn't take too long before you notice that you are winning a lot more often than you used to.
Try this technique out in smaller games. Initially as you will see a much more obvious increase in your win rate on games with fewer players. Once you've seen this work successfully for yourself in smaller games, then you'll have much more confidence to use this technique in the bigger money games.
Technique 3: Play Rooms with Fewer Players
Even though the prize pots will inevitably be smaller, it's still very much worth playing in rooms with fewer players for the simple reason that you stand much more chance of winning and more often. Sometimes you'll have more luck by playing smaller rooms and building up winnings slowly rather than holding out for the higher jackpots in bigger games. This technique works best in rooms of 50 players or less. It is possible to find rooms with fewer than 10 people but these are harder to find.
To find out how many people are in the room, join a Bingo room and take a look around the game screen to see if it tells you. This is usually somewhere near the jackpot amount. If not, look for the number of users in the chat room - this will also give you a good indication of the number of players.
Finding rooms with fewer people is quite easy to do once you know what to look out for. As you get more accustomed to Online Bingo, you'll get to know which sites are most popular with other players. Sites that you may have seen advertised on TV like Sun Bingo, Gala Bingo, Foxy Bingo, JackpotJoy Bingo and Mecca Bingo are massively popular, so rooms tend to have many more players. You'll have a much better chance of finding smaller rooms at some of the lesser known Bingo sites. Sites like Love Bingo, Game Village Bingo, Bingo Cafe , and Party Bingo are just as good fun to play at as the big sites but have much fewer players meaning that you'll win more regularly.
